Pensacola Outreach

One of our newest programs has allowed us to extend our reach across the country to the warm waters of Pensacola! Northwest Florida is a significant hub for the U.S. military, hosting multiple large bases including Eglin AFB, Tyndall AFB, NAS Pensacola, and NAS Whiting Field, which provides a large population of active duty, veterans, and retirees. This veteran rich environment allows us to serve a large number of our service members. The warmer waters bring a different style of fishing, but the results are the same. The Pensacola Outreach program is being run by Captain Chris Long with Jolly Mon Charters. Chris is a retired Naval Aviator with 22 years of service and has been a part of Salmon for Soldiers for over a decade. He continues to help generate awareness and support for our Veterans across the Nation.

Women's Outreach

Designed with the ladies in mind! We offer many fishing events and opportunities just for women. These events allow them to relax and heal in an environment that is comfortable and safe. The camaraderie that is shared and the friendships that are made create a special bond for the ladies we serve. This program is run by U.S. Navy Veteran Amy McNealy. She has deep roots in the Pacific Northwest having grown up in Washougal, WA. Amy is passionate about serving her veteran community and has a love for fishing which led her to join Salmon for Soldiers in 2020 as the Women's Outreach Coordinator. This team has been able to get women Veterans out on surf perch, salmon, sturgeon, halibut, and ling cod fishing trips. Amy was added to the Board of Directors in May 2024.
