Salmon for Soldiers was created to offer a sense of normalcy and relaxation to our returning veterans. We offer fishing events and opportunities designed to reduce stress, foster new relationships, and provide many hours of fun and relaxation. Our events are designed to accommodate Veterans with PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury and other physical challenges helping them gain the confidence and courage needed to return to the civilian community.

Day of Honor
Our day of honor is how it all started. With over a hundred volunteer boats and several hundred Veterans, we provide an amazing annual event with a full morning of fishing and an afternoon of BBQ and prizes for all. The memories and friendships made are a lifelong gift from this event.
Women's Outreach
Designed with the ladies in mind! We offer many fishing events and opportunities just for women. These events allow them to relax and heal in an environment that is comfortable and safe. The camaraderie that is shared and the friendships that are made create a special bond for the ladies we serve.
Pensacola Outreach
Our newest and furthest reaching program extends us to Florida. An area with a high concentration of active duty and retired military personnel make this an ideal location to support our Veterans. The warmer waters bring a different style of fishing, but the results are the same.
NW Washington Outreach
This program allows us to extend our Washington reach to the West. Holding fundraising events and fishing opportunities in the Western Strait of Juan de Fuca allows for a different fishery and an extended group of supporters and Veterans. This program really draws in the fishermen!
Golf Events
Golf tournaments have been our main fundraising event since the beginning. The people that are brought in and their support have been unsurpassed! With golf events in three of our locations, our fundraising efforts have increased and our reach has grown. Look for an event near you!
Guided Fishing
In addition to our annual Day of Honor, we also send Veterans on chartered fishing trips throughout the year and across the country. If you are an active duty service member or an honorably discharged veteran, you could be eligible for this program! Check out our

My husband was able to get out on a boat and fish, something he loves but has been unable to do for several years due to his health issues. Thank you caring for the veterans and soldiers.

The Veteran suicide rate is over 17 per day…but prevention is possible, especially when Veterans find support before a crisis happens. Our goal is to reach as many Veterans as we can and provide support through piscatorial therapy.
